A modern and libre graphic version of NetHack (NetHack 4, in AUR repository), with a bird's eye view of the discovered subterranean (fog of war). Very small, top left, in one of the rooms, the protagonist (me, a woman in a bikini, at the beginning of the game) accompanied by her lovely dog near a staircase leading to a lower level. Three other rooms were discovered, one with a fountain, another with a stone lizard statue, and another with a book (unread). At the top of the UI, the system messages (history), and at the bottom of the UI, the player's statistics (Name, HP, Pw, ...) and a help on the commands. NetHack 4 is a libre and multi-platform fork of NetHack, resulting from a mix of AceHack (dead project, editable controls, gameplay & UI modification, based on NetHack 3.4.3, UnNetHack, SLASH'EM, & GruntHack) & NitroHack (dead project, netplay, UI improvement, ...) variants, and aiming to improve the code and interface, while preserving the gameplay. NetHack is a very old libre and multi-platform roguelike and a reference (like Rogue) for Hack and Slash. Its storyline is centered on the quest for the amulet of Yendor in the underground of Gehennom. Unlike many other Hack and Slash games, the emphasis is on exploring its (procedurally generated) underground and not just killing everything that moves. In fact, killing everything that moves is the best way to die quickly. The player is accompanied by a pet that helps him in his progression.

Otra de las series de #videojuegos que amo y que me hice fanático de chico fue #Castlevania que en los tres primeros juegos eres un Belmont tratando de matar a Dracula. Me gusta mucho porque te enfrentas a montros mitológicos como es la momias, minotauros, etc. El #juego que más me marcó fue #symphonyofthenight en la que juegas con Alucard y es un juego más de acción y #rpg . Lamentablemente #konami ya no hace más #videojuegos . Por que si hay una serie que vuelva que sea esta.

I spent a good chunk of today playing the 1986 MS-DOS RPG game Shard of Spring.
There's some things I don't like about it (can't sell items, some interface and pacing issues, ugly 4-colour CGA, etc...), but I like the simple but challenging nature of this game, especially in combat, so I'm happy with what I'm playing.

I'm especially impressed at how it was apparently made in BASIC, even if it's kinda slow.

I've recently been playing a ton of Ultima III: Exodus.

I'm playing with the LairWare remaster on Macintosh OSX. It features a lot of quality of life improvements, and a ton of different tilesets, such as C64, Apple II, NES, etc.....I'm playing with the 68k Mac one. For some reason, I adore that high-res black and white style

My dad played the NES port of this game back in the day, and I'm now enjoying it myself.

A strange combination of a skeleton and a machine sits behind a glass window as if on display in a museum. Over it is a godly symbol, and at its sides are statues of lesser Gods. In a dark blue cave sits a horrible creature. Its head is a hole with three eyes its hands are strange tentacles. Before it lies a ghostly form with three glowing eyes.

I made these around Oct. 2021. Sturgia seems to be inspired by Kievan Rus and some Norse culture. I’ve used a painting of Olga of Kiev and an embroidered cloth called Rushnyk/Nabozhnyk in the background.

My main character is small and other NPCs are usually tall. It’s amusing to see her, tiny and heavily armored, leading armies and winning tourneys.
