As an experiment I decided to shutdown one of my 1u servers running Proxmox to see if my Intel NUC could handle the workload. To my surprise it was able to handle all 6 VMs without a sweat!

My 1u server was pulling 140 watts!
Intel NUC is only pulling 26 watts!

Going to let this run for a few days but impressed so far!

Esta semana he estado un poco despegado de Mastodon y del resto de cosas.
Tengo varios proyectos que quería Empezar y otros por rematar durante mis días de descanso entre semana.
El primero ya os lo conté que fue cambiar mi antiguo Wemo por un Shelly y luego le ha tocado domotizar el porterillo.
Ambos con resultado 100% satisfactorio
Animaros si alguien lo ha pensado alguna vez porque es muy Fácil y practico.

My first impression on using #cloudinit / #subiquity with #packer with #proxmox builder and with #ubuntu: Not cool. But yesterday using debconf-selections with #debian was working in a couple of hours. Cloud-init does too many things, subiquity had weird bugs looking back at ubuntu 20.04, bad error feedback when installer get's stuck. Speekers made fun of it during their talks. Not convinced.🤔

Finally got #pfsense setup on #proxmox, now I just need to configure the wifi switch and we should be able to switch the house over to the firewall. Here's hoping it works!
