A picture of Mars taken by Curiosity rover. It shows a valley bordered by mounds and stratified, in a region where there was once liquid water. Sulfates salts have been deposited there. We see a nice little dune and rocks in the foreground, fallen from the top of the mounds. In the background, we see Mount Sharp, a 5500 meters high mountain at the center of Gale crater.
