Ever hear of Nichitsu? It's a Japanese mining town that boomed and then hit bust in 1978 after the iron and zinc mines that built its fortune dried up. Residents started leaving until the town was abandoned entirely by the mid-80s.

One expedition into Nichi in 2011 took quite a few snaps of what they found in this time bubble of the early 80s; one of the things they found was a remarkably intact NEC PC 9801.
